Winning Is The Only Option



There is no point wearisome to avoid battles because, in life, they are to be expected. As Christians, we are certain to experience affliction, persecution, difficulty, and trials. Nevertheless, God has promised us complete victory in every circumstance we face. Our job is to fight the good fight of faith and remain persistent where God’s Word is concerned. By refusing to be moved from what God has said in the Bible, activating our faith, and getting bigger up in the authority invested in us through Jesus Christ, we can walk out of any battle successful.
A lot of times, the dilemmas we find ourselves in life is have nothing to do with the devil; but, they have the whole lot to do with the bad choices we have made. When we refuse to follow God’s instructions and do things His way, we can end up going through unnecessary affliction and hardship. But even when this happens, God’s love is in hot chase of us. His grace is His eagerness to get involved in our situations and circumstances. We can have self-assurance He is standing by to help us, even when we make meaningless mistakes.
How you hold yourself in the middle of the battle makes the difference. One of the most significant things we can do is be attentive of the power of words. Second Corinthians 4:13 says, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” Whatever you believe, you must speak. Actually, what is in your heart in abundance will come out of your mouth eventually and make known what you really believe anyway. As it relates to the Believer, our faith is evident by what we say. If we claim the promise of God that says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, we demonstrate our belief first and foremost by declaring it.
Using the Word of God during spiritual battles is guaranteed to get results. It is the sword of the Spirit and will cut to pieces the snares of the enemy. Whatever is coming against you, find out what God says and put it in your mouth. When you speak what you believe, you send a message to the devil that says you are fighting back and you are winning.
Verse 15 of that same chapter reveals another important key to victory in battle, “For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.” I don’t know about you, but I need God to get involved in my battles! This scripture clearly says that when we actively engage the power of thanksgiving by giving God thanks for everything He has done and for who He is, it releases His grace, which is His unmerited favor. It’s not that we deserve it, but He loves us so much. He can’t help but intervene when we use the big gun of thanksgiving as a weapon.
I want to encourage you to remain immovable when you’re going through a tough time. Trouble won’t last always. You have been equipped with God’s Word, which is more than enough to fight off anything the devil throws at you. You win!

To understand how this prescription works, you must realize that the Word of God is more than just good information. It actually has life in it. As Jesus said in John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth [or makes alive]; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." 
Every time you take the Word into your heart, believe it and act on it, that life of which Jesus spoke, the very LIFE of God Himself is released in you. You may have read the healing scriptures over and over again. You may know them as well as you know your own name. Yet every time you read them or hear them preached, they bring you a fresh dose of God's healing power. Each time, they bring life to you and deliver God's medicine to your flesh. 
That's because the Word is like a seed. Hebrews 4:12 says it is "alive and full of power--making it active, operative, energizing and effective..." (The Amplified Bible). It actually carries within it the power to fulfill itself. 
When you planted the Word about the new birth in your heart, then believed and acted on it, that Word released within you the power to be born again. By the same token, when you plant the Word about healing in your heart, believe and act on it, that Word will release God's healing power in you. 
"But, Gloria," you may say, "I've met people who know the Bible from cover to cover and still can't get healed!" 
No doubt you do. But if you'll look back at God's prescription, you'll find it doesn't say anything about "knowing" the Bible. It says, attend to the Word. 
When you attend to something, you give your attention to it. You make it top priority. You set aside other things so you can focus on it. When a nurse is attending to a patient, she constantly looks after him. She doesn't just leave him lying alone in his hospital room while she goes shopping. If someone asks her about her patient, she doesn't feel it's sufficient to say, "Oh, yes. I know him." 
In the same way, if you're attending to the Word, you won't leave it lying unopened on the coffee table all day. You won't spend your day focusing your attention on other things

Total Redemption

Jesus came to destroy all the works of the devil (I John 3:8). He did not destroy sin only to leave sickness in dominion. Partial redemption from Satan’s power would not have pleased God nor would it have fulfilled His plan for His family.
He redeemed the whole man—righteousness for his nature, peace for his mind and healing for his body. Redemption left nothing in force that came upon man because of sin. Jesus completely destroyed the works of the devil in the lives of men.
I Corinthians 6:20 says, “For ye are bought with a price.” A great price! “Therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” There should not be any sickness in the Body of Christ. When one who is sick comes into our midst, the healing power of God should flow so that he receives healing.
In the book of Leviticus, Israel used a scapegoat. The priest laid hands on a real goat, put the sins of the people on him and sent him to the wilderness—totally away from the people. That’s what Jesus did with your sickness and disease! He bore them away from you!
                                              So stand up in the Name of Jesus and command sickness and disease to go from you. Refuse to allow them in your body. Command them to depart from you—out of your very presence, out of your home and your family.
Salvation Covers It All
The English word salvation does not communicate what the original Greek word sozo really means. Salvation is not just the new birth of your spirit. It is also peace for your mind and healing for your body. Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Biblical Words says salvation denotes “deliverance, preservation; material and temporal deliverance from danger and apprehension.”
Mark 16:15-16 says, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” The gospel is the good news of what Jesus did in His substitutionary sacrifice at the cross.
“By whose stripes ye were healed” is not a promise. It is a fact. It has already taken place. Jesus bore sickness away from you, and by His stripes you were healed.
There is no sin so great that Jesus’ sacrifice at Calvary will not cancel it and wipe it away—as though sin had never been.

Matthew 9:22
Jesus turned around and, seeing her, He said, Take courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well. And at once the woman was restored to health.

Get Your Mind on the Harvest

If you’ve been sowing seed into the kingdom of God, I have news that will put a smile on your face, a skip in your step and joy in your heart. Harvest time is here! That’s right. As the Body of Christ, we’ve stepped into the season we’ve all been waiting for. We’ve moved into the time when the spiritual and financial crops we’ve planted…and tended…and believed for are coming up. It’s a time to rejoice and celebrate.
There’s nothing better than the thrill of harvest time!, my spiritual father, and I were talking about that fact not long ago, because the Lord had been speaking to him about it.
Sometimes he’d come into towns where the crops had been reaped and sold at a good price, and the streets would be full of joyful people. Everyone would be smiling and shouting greetings to each other. They’d be busy buying school clothes for the kids and stocking up for the winter. It was a glorious scene.
I know from my own experience what that’s like. As a child, I used to spend time on my grandfather’s farm. When harvest time came, whole truckloads of people would show up to help bring in the crops. All the kids would play together and at dinnertime, because there were too many people to fit into one house, the whole bunch of us would eat outside.
What fun that was! Everyone was making money. Everyone was on the move. Everyone was enjoying the fruits of their labor.

Nobody was thinking anymore about how hot and tired they’d been when they were out working in the fields, or talking about how their feet got blistered and their hands got calloused when they were chopping cotton and hoeing weeds. They’d forgotten about all that.
They had their minds on the harvest!

That’s the way we, as seed-sowing believers, ought to be today. We should have our “reaping” faith in gear and our minds on the harvest.
That’s a switch for a lot of us because until now, we’ve focused our faith primarily on planting. We’ve concentrated on God’s promise to provide seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
Thank God for such bread-receiving, seed-sowing faith! It’s wonderful. It’s opened the door for God to meet our needs and give us enough to invest in the work of His kingdom. But that’s not all God wants to do for us. He didn’t just promise to give us food to eat and seed to sow, He promised to multiply that seed and give us a harvest. He said:

He which sowed sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which sowed bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposed in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loved a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remained for ever. Now he that ministered seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which caused through us thanksgiving to God (II Corinthians 9:6-11).
God has had harvest time in His sights all along. That’s why He taught us about sowing and reaping. That’s why He sustained us and met our needs while we were waiting for our crops to come up. He intended to multiply our seed and give
                                                       
us such abundant harvests that we’d always have all sufficiency in all things and wouldn’t need any outside aid or support.
From the very beginning, God’s aim was to bless us so extravagantly that we could demonstrate to the world that we don’t need anyone but Jesus to support

Jesus is the Lord of the Harvest. He called Himself that in Luke 10:2. When He sent His disciples out two-by-two into the cities of Israel, He said, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.”
The problem is, many believers haven’t exercised their faith in the harvest aspect of Jesus’ ministry. They’ve gotten stuck instead on the seed-sowing part. “Brother Copeland,” they say, “I just keep sowing…and sowing…and sowing but nothing is happening.”
Sometimes they even complain about what happened to their seed after they planted it. “I gave $50 to a minister, and then I saw his son riding around on a new bike. I don’t think he should have spent my money that way!”
People with that attitude are digging up their seed. They’re interrupting the growth process and killing their crop. When Brother Roberts told us what God was showing him about harvest time, he said that’s a mistake believers must stop making. He said we must all learn to sow our seed, release our faith, then forget about the seed.
Forget about it?
Yes, forget about it! Let it go! It’s covered up in the soil of God’s kingdom. We’ll never see it again. So we should stop fussing over it…and worrying about it…and wondering what’s become of it.
“Ken, get your mind off the sowing part now,” he said, “and get it on the harvest instead!”
Ever since that discussion, I’ve been doing that more and more. In the process, the Lord has revealed some things to me. He’s let me know, for instance, that the
                                                     
Harvest this generation of believers is reaping is far greater than we ever expected. We are bringing in crops we didn’t even plant.
How is that possible?
It’s simple. Many believers in generations gone by who were faithful to sow seed into the kingdom of God didn’t know anything about harvest. As a result, they didn’t reap what belonged to them. They left their spiritual crops in the field.

For a long time, my mom and dad were like that. They had such a strong revelation of the importance of giving into God’s kingdom that they actually added tithing to their wedding vows. Back in 1927 when they were married, they declared they would tithe every dollar that came into their hands all their married life.
They did it, too. All his adult life, my dad had two bank accounts: One was God’s and the other was his. He never mixed them up. As a young boy, I’d go with him to the bank and watch him make out two different deposit slips, one for each account. My dad was diligent to do that for many years. He didn’t know how to reach out and receive his harvest by faith, however, until much later in life. So he never received the fullness of what he’d planted.
Over the centuries, there have been many faithful tithes and givers like my dad—believers who sowed a lifetime of seeds and, because they knew nothing about reaping, never reaped the return. The devil thinks their seeds are buried and forgotten. But God never forgets a seed. He never counts it out. He always multiplies the seed sown, then He goes looking for someone with faith enough to harvest it.
And you know what? We’re the generation of believers He’s been looking for!
We’re the ones who’ve been blessed with the last days outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the revelation of harvest. We’re the ones who will reap the spiritual and financial crops sown by our grandfathers and grandmothers. We’ll bring in harvests sown by spiritual ancestors we don’t even know.
I start jumping every time I think about that because harvest time is a happy time. Harvest time is what makes all the work worthwhile. That’s true in the natural scheme of things and it’s even more true spiritual.Think about it. What could possibly be more thrilling than reaping the biggest harvest of souls in the 2,000-year history of the Body of Christ?
I’m telling you by the Spirit of God, that’s what we are doing. It’s already started. More people are coming into the family of God than ever before in all of Christian history. The Lord of the Harvest is sending us out as laborers to gather up the most staggering spiritual crop this world has ever seen. This is the beginning of massive harvest!

“But someone might say, “I thought you were talking about a financial harvest. I thought you were saying the financial seeds we’ve sown are ready to be reaped.”
I am.
You see, you can’t have a spiritual harvest by itself. You have to have a financial harvest at the same time because harvest time is the most-expensive season of the year.
I learned that in my boyhood days on my grandfather’s farm. At harvest time, you’re buying more fuel, you’re hiring more people, you’re spending everything you have to get that crop in from the field before the weather starts to ruin it.
That’s why it takes a harvest of finances to reap a harvest of souls. Bringing in those spiritual sheaves is expensive! That’s OK, though, because the same anointing that brings forth the spiritual crop brings forth the financial crop. Both kinds of seeds are multiplied by THE BLESSING that flows to us and through us from the Lord of the Harvest.
So, roll up your spiritual sleeves and go to work in both realms. Get ready to have the time of your life.
If you haven’t thought of yourself as a harvester before now, start thinking of yourself that way. Renew your mind to the truth of God’s Word. Dare to believe the Lord of the Harvest is calling you—yes, you!—to help Him bring in His end-time crops. He’s speaking to you and saying, “Until now, you’ve known Me as the Lord over your seed. You’ve known Me as your bread provider. But I want you to know Me now as Lord and Minister of the harvest.”
I’m persuaded that’s what Jesus is saying to every believer who will listen these days. His fields are ripe and He is hunting high and low for those who will open their Bibles, stand on His promises of blessing, and get their harvest faith in gear. He is searching for bold receivers who won’t back away in doubt, but will jump on the truck with the rest of the harvesters and head for the fields.
The Lord spoke said those who respond in that way will be equipped with revelation that will help them get the job done. He said:

SECRETS OF FAITH AND POWER
More and more, faster and faster, in more clarity and detail, the anointing will cause revelation to flow and mysteries in Christ to come clear as never before in these days in which you live. For these are the times when the mysteries shall be unveiled and you’ll say, “My, my, isn’t that simple, isn’t that wonderful.” Hallelujah. And it is and will continue to be that way because these are the times, saith the Lord, when all people will see the glory. The whole earth shall be filled with it. Amen. This is that day and this is that hour and for those that are committed, and those that are strong in the Word, and those that put My Word first place in their lives will continue to flow, and it will be a continuous flow of revelation in your life and it’ll get sweeter and sweeter as the days go by. It’s harvest time!
Things are going to increase in intensity. There are those of you that will begin to experience an outflow and overflow not only of anointing to minister to people, but in the financial realm also. And the increase will come not because of more work, or more effort on your part, but because of the intensified flow of the Holy Ghost. Not by might, not by any other way except by My Spirit, saith the Lord. My power and revelation of the love of God on a level and on a plane never before seen, never before understood by the general population of the Body of Jesus Christ.
The revealing of the secrets of faith and power. Hallelujah. Glorified knowledge in the Holy Ghost and how to walk in anointing that will cause people to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior; Jesus as Baptizer in the Holy Ghost; Jesus as Healer
                                                        and Jesus as Financier. You will be able to help them receive on a much higher plane and it will seem like, “Why this is just the most-effortless thing I have ever seen,” and that is exactly true. You are walking into an effortless, sweatless anointing. Hallelujah. A time of great outpouring. It’s here, it’s already in operation, saith the Lord. So jump in, jump in and enjoy the swim for the time has come.
Jesus is the High Priest and Chief Executive of heaven’s finances and it’s harvest time in the kingdom of God!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof" (Prov. 18:21).
 Life is in the power of my tongue, and I will minister life with it. I speak words of life! If you’re going to win in life and achieve all that God has for you, you’re going to have to watch your mouth, making sure that the words you speak line up with the Word of God. Every day we speak countless words, often paying very little attention to the words themselves. However, it is important to realize that we are creating our world by the words that we speak. Proverbs 18:21 in The Amplified Bible says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
  Words are containers, and each word we speak is filled with something. Words  can be filled with hate, fear, doubt, unbelief, and any other evil. Or words can be filled with love, faith, peace, joy, life, blessing, and any other good. Words can either curse or bless. Words can discourage or encourage. Words can wound or make whole. Words can destroy or bring life.

Words have power! The words we hear can stay with us for a long time. For example, the words we hear in the morning can cause us to make a success of the day, or they can cause us to go through the day robbed of joy and energy.

Do we realize that the last words our spouse and children hear us say in the morning can affect them for the rest of the day? Do we realize that words filled with love and compassion will give our children confidence and enable them to win life’s battles? Do we realize that tender, loving words spoken to a spouse in the morning will send him through the day with a smile on his face and joy in his heart, helping him succeed in everything he does?

I don’t think we fully recognize the tremendous power of our words. We need to understand that our world is influenced by the words we hear and the words we speak.God created the physical world with the spoken word. And we create the world around us with the words we speak. Fathers, mothers, and children: The atmosphere in your home is a product of what you say. So watch your mouth!
                Often, you can walk into a home or even a room and know the kind of words that have just been spoken. You can “detect” them in the atmosphere. If there’s been an argument and harsh words have been spoken, you can sense it the moment you step into the room or get around the people who have been fighting. They have charged the atmosphere with their words.

                                                  
Just as we can negatively charge the atmosphere with our words, we can also positively charge the atmosphere. That’s why it’s important that we learn to speak the right words. What are the “right” words? Words   from   the  Word of God. Words filled with faith. Words   that will  equip and   energize us to accomplish God’s will and to succeed in life.

Why is it that some children grow up well and strong, work their way through college, and then go out and succeed at life? Often, a main reason is because right words were spoken to them as they were growing up.

We can’t afford to talk failure and doubt over our children. When we do, those words register in their heart and mind. Eventually, those words take root in them and produce negative fruit, or failure, in their life.

What you say to your children every morning can send them off to succeed or to fail. If you tell people long enough that they’re no good or that they’re a failure, they will eventually start living up to what you’ve told them.

Sometimes mischievous children are told, “You’re going to wind up in prison.” And many of them do! If people keep telling a child he’s no good and will never amount to anything—very often those people become right! Why? Because of their words. Over a protracted period of time, those words shaped the mind of that child and set him on a course of failure and destruction.

Yes, people have a personal responsibility to make the right choices in life, but I encourage you to watch your mouth, because the words you speak have an effect on your life and the lives of those around you. So speak words that will edify and build others up, not tear them down. And don’t repeat the gossip you

                                                  
heard. Don’t poison other people’s ears the way your ears were poisoned when the gossip was told to you.

I sometimes have to tell people that my ears are not garbage cans and that I’m not interested in their gossip. The Word of God doesn’t tell us to talk about people’s mistakes. Galatians 6:1 says, “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”

Save your lips for speaking beautiful, helpful, comforting words. That is your job according to the Word of God.

PHILIPPIANS 4:8 (NIV)
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

When you think on the kind of things mentioned in this verse, you will then speak those kinds of things. You see, our confession is a declaration of what we believe. The words of our mouth reveal what we have been thinking and believing in our heart.

When we confess the Word of God, we are revealing our belief in God’s Word, our acceptance of His Word, and our confidence in His Word. For example, when we say, “I believe God shall supply all my needs according to Philippians 4:19,” it reveals that we have accepted God’s Word as truth and have enough confidence in God’s Word to speak those words about ourselves personally.
We will eventually say with our mouth what we believe in our heart. That’s why what we believe is so important! Because if we believe an untruth, we will speak that untruth—and our world will be framed by the words of our mouth!

     Right thinking produces right believing, and right believing produces right confessing. On the other hand, wrong thinking produces wrong believing, and wrong believing produces wrong confessing. Your confession determines your results in life. You will eventually have what you say. So watch your mouth .Where do you find the truth that you should think, believe, and speak? In the holy Word of God. God’s Word is truth. And as the truth becomes a part of you, you

will begin to speak it with your mouth. As you speak God’s Word, the Word will change your life.

It’s up to you to say the right things. How do you do it? Just say what God says! Think on His Word, believe His Word, and speak His Word. Then you will be a success, charging the very atmosphere around you with life and victory!









Fight the good fight of faith. . . . —1 Timothy 6:12
Possessing all of God’s promises means to receive and walk in our inheritance in Christ—our own personal Promised Land. It means to possess all the promises in God’s Word, including those He’s personally made to each one of us.

It will take a fight of faith to receive what God has for you in this life. But besides fighting the good fight of faith for your Promised Land, you need to get God’s plan. If you don’t know what God’s plan is for you to possess your land, your fight of faith can end in defeat. I’m talking about faith in God’s Word. But I’m also talking about obedience to His plan. We must obtain the blessings of God His way, not our own way.

Remember that when the Israelites came to the border of the Promised Land, God gave Moses a plan for taking the land. God knew exactly how He was going to fight the Israelites’ battle for them so they could go in and possess what belonged to them.


But then the Israelites got into doubt and unbelief and ended up wandering in the wilderness for forty years. So God had to raise up a new generation of Israelites who would believe Him and take Him at His Word. God is still looking for those who will take Him at His Word and possess their Promised Land.

God in His patience waited for those younger Israelites to grow up. Then He again took them to the border of the Promised Land and said, “Now go in and possess what belongs to you.” Now, here’s what I want you to see. God gave Joshua the plan for possessing the land, and this time, the Israelites were obedient to carry out God’s plan. They didn’t shrink back in fear, but crossed over into the land in spite of a raging river at flood stage and the impenetrable enemy fortress of Jericho. There’s always a way when God gives His plan!
         You can’t receive your Promised Land from the Lord just by saying, “I’m going to possess the land! I’m going to receive what God has promised me.” That’s the right attitude, but then you have to have the right plan.
 In the natural, what happens without a plan? If you were going to start a cross-country road trip from California to New York, you would need a plan. You would need to find out which roads to travel to best to reach your destination. You can’t



                                                  
 just start driving on the highway, declare where you are going, and expect to arrive at your destination! Driving randomly, you’re liable to end up just about anywhere!
 But that’s the way many believers operate when it comes to possessing their Promised Land. Some just declare what belongs to them and expect the promises just to fall on them! Others jump out and start doing things—anything—in their own strength to try to make something happen. All they know is that their own.personal inheritance in Christ is part of God’s redemption. But they don’t know how to fight the good fight of faith in order to receive what belongs to them, so they often end up confused or discouraged.

There’s a saying in the world that it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose—it’s how you play the game. But that’s not true when it comes to the game of life. In life, it’s not just how you play the game that’s important. Winning is important, too! As a Christian, winning means finishing your course with joy because you’ve done what God has told you to do every step of the way.

People who allow their faith to fizzle will quit in the middle of their spiritual race. But those who give up will never know the thrill of victory. All they will know is the agony of defeat. There’s no way you can possess what God has promised you if you quit!

Faith that perishes is faith that fails in the tests and trials of life. But when you tap into the power and the plan of God by standing in faith on His Word, there’s no such thing as perishing—there’s only possessing. Believing God’s Word and acting on His Word and His plan is how you fight the good fight of faith and obtain the promised blessing.

However, you need to know that the enemy is not going to let you possess anything in God without a fight. Even the Israelites had to march around the walls of Jericho and shout the victory in faith and in obedience before those walls came tumbling down (Joshua 6:5). In other words, they believed God’s Word was true, so they obeyed and acted accordingly—and they saw the truth of God’s Word come to pass before their eyes!

If you have the idea that you’ll never have a battle in life, you are mistaken! The devil will try to take every inch of your Promised Land away from you—and he will do it if you’ll let him! You’ll have to fight by faith each step of the way for what rightfully belongs to you. It’s a faith fight because you have to fight by faith in God’s Word, not by faith in your own strength or ability. And the Bible calls it the good fight of faith, because if we’ll stick with it, it’s a fight that we win!

The greatest weapon you possess to fight the good fight of faith is the Word of God. In fact, the Word is the only weapon you need to fight with, backed by the Name of Jesus and the blood of the Lamb (Rev. 12:11).

That’s why we need to develop our beliefs according to God’s Word—so that we think like God thinks. When believers don’t develop their faith so they can stand strong against the devil’s strategies, their faith fizzles out. The great revivalist D. L. Moody once said, “Faith that fizzles in the finish had a flaw in the beginning.”

                                                 

So why are some believers missing it possessing their Promised Land? One reason is that they lack proper knowledge. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. . . .”

Just because people are members of a church or hear a message on faith or listen to teaching tapes is no sign they have Bible knowledge. For one thing, they may be hearing, but they may not be receiving. Or they may be hearing with their
                                                    
mind, but not with their heart. Or sometimes what they hear confuses them because they haven’t developed a strong relationship with God.

You won’t be able to possess what God has for you unless you develop a strong relationship with your Heavenly Father. Without a relationship with Him, your faith will fizzle. But with the knowledge of God’s Word, we will have the confidence to fight the good fight of faith and stay with it, because we know God personally. And we know He will never let us down!
 We need to get our actions in line with God’s Word and then watch the Word work! The Bible says, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” (Isa. 1:19).
 When you walk closely with your Heavenly Father, you can talk to Him about those areas where your heart is not willing or obedient. He will help you both to will and to do His good plan for your life (Phil. 2:13)! Then you can really become the success God wants you to be.
